You can't see this man through his own eyes unless you have Asperger's syndrome as he most assuredly does.
He's not doing it for the money, he's doing it for the math.
Other than the annoyances he has about his colleagues, you may be surprised to know he is likely happy with his life and wouldn't want it any other way.
