CEOs / Customers / Employees / Core Business

Is it the size of the business that create disconnect between CEOs and customers / employees? Or is it something else? While the size of the organization can create layers of bureaucracy and distance between CEOs and core business, many CEOs run fantastically huge organizations. It is about creating an environment of candor where executives and employees are inside the brains of the CEO not outside his domain safeguarding their business units and self interests. It is about creating sincere emotional bond where employees give from the bottom of their hearts by the power of trust, respect, and empowerment as measured by specific deliverables not by the might of power as administered by policing.
