Reflection on OD
I was impressed by Cheung-Judge (2001) comprehensive article regarding the "self as an instrument"; especially her summary of required competencies for Organization Development, OD, consultants. It was interesting to compare the approach that Cumming and Worley (2005) took with the approach that Cheung-Judge (2001). Specifically, I benefited from seeing the focus on “knowledge and Skills” in approaches taken by both Cumming and Worley (2005) and Cheung-Judge (2001). However, I finished the reading with a question: Is OD, as presented by Cheung-Judge (2001), a realistic proposal or idealistic endeavor?
